Michael Baxter

Michael Baxter (Choreographer of Workshop Productions)

Michael Baxter has had a varied career as a performer and choreographer in theaters all across the country. Michael is the Resident Choreographer of the Municipal Theatre Association of St. Louis (The MUNY). Along with his choreographic responsibilities, Michael performed in the 2015 season’s production of Oklahoma! Other recent choreographic credits include – Off-Broadway’s Clinton The Musical (Assistant Choreographer) and Empire (Staged Reading – Assistant Choreographer). Other performance credits include: Tour -50th Anniversary National Tour of Hello, Dolly! starring Sally Struthers. Staged Reading - Empire; Off-Off Broadway - The Cradle Will Rock; Regional – Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Riverside Theatre, North Carolina Theatre, Stages St. Louis, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and The MUNY.

 

Outside of his theatrical career, Michael enjoys being in the classroom and values the importance of a strong and well-rounded education for aspiring artists. He feels honored to have appeared on the faculty of Broadway Theatre ConnectionUS Performing Arts CampsStudentsLive/Passport to BroadwaySt. Paul’s SchoolTexas Arts Project and various performing arts institution across the country. As an educator, he strives to provide his students with the highest quality of professional training in musical theatre arts.

 

Michael is a proud graduate of The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. 

 

Michael is thrilled to have been Oink!'s choreographer and he loved hearing the audience squeal, snort and dance for our beloved Oink!
